Greenbriar Gate Services — Gate Repair & Installation in Parma, Ohio
Driveway gates, sliding gates, automatic openers and access control for homes and businesses across Greater Cleveland. Same-day service when a gate is stuck open or closed.
Greenbriar Gate Services has been fixing and installing gates around Parma since 2018. Anthony Shaw started the company with a simple idea: show up when you say you will, and do the job right the first time. That approach has not changed.
Most of our calls are for sliding gates that stick, openers that quit, and driveway gates with broken hinges or sagging leaves. We usually get back to customers within a few hours, not days, and same-day service is common for anything urgent — a gate that will not close, or a security gate stuck open overnight.
We handle residential and commercial work: routine gate repair and maintenance, full driveway gate installations, chain link fences with gates, and automatic gate systems with keypads, remotes and intercoms. Anthony still checks in on the bigger jobs personally.

Gate problems we see most in Northeast Ohio
Our winters are hard on gates. Freeze-and-thaw cycles heave shallow posts and pull swing gates out of square, so leaves start dragging or the latch no longer meets. Road salt eats hinges and chain, and ice packs into slide-gate tracks until the rollers bind. Cold also kills weak opener batteries and exposes marginal wiring. Most of these are fixable in one visit:
- Sliding gate stuck or grinding — worn rollers, a bent track, ice or debris in the track, a stretched chain.
- Swing gate sagging or dragging — a failed hinge, a heaved or rotted post, a leaf that has lost its diagonal brace.
- Opener will not run, or reverses on its own — power, a control board, limit settings, or a blocked photo eye.
- Remote or keypad stopped working — often a battery, a receiver, or a wire chewed by something small.

Questions people ask
How fast can you get to a gate that is stuck open or closed?
Usually the same day for Parma and the neighboring suburbs. Call us, describe what the gate is doing, and we will give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week." If it is after hours and the gate is stuck open on a commercial lot, say so — those calls go to the front of the line.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates for new gates, openers and larger repairs are free. For a straightforward repair we quote the price before we start the work, and if the gate turns out to need something different than expected we explain the options before doing anything more.
Can you automate a gate that someone else installed?
Most of the time, yes. We check that the gate is square, the posts are solid and the hinges or rollers are in good shape first, because an opener will only hide a mechanical problem for a while. If the gate needs work before it can be automated, we tell you exactly what and why. See gate openers & access control.
Which areas do you cover?
